Helping Your Member Adjust to a New Routine
As the back-to-school season approaches, many of our members may find themselves facing a significant shift in their daily routines. For some, this means waking up earlier, getting dressed for the day, and preparing mentally and emotionally for the structure that school brings. Such changes can be challenging, especially for those who thrive on routine and predictability. That’s why it’s important to approach this transition with patience and thoughtful planning.
One effective way to help your member adjust to the upcoming school year is by visually marking the first day of school on a calendar. By doing this, you can create a sense of anticipation and readiness. Having a visual representation of when school starts allows your member to mentally prepare for the change. You can even count down the days together, helping them become more comfortable with the idea of going back to school.
To make the transition smoother, consider gradually adjusting their schedule in the weeks leading up to the first day. Start by moving bedtime earlier and waking them up closer to the time they’ll need to be up for school. This gradual shift can help ease the shock of an early wake-up call on the first day of school. If you need any additional support or have questions about helping your member prepare for this transition, don’t hesitate to reach out to HAH Support at HAHSupport@arioncaresolutions.com. We’re here to help make the back-to-school experience as smooth as possible for you and your member.
