
Amber Blackburn has worked with the elderly and individuals with developmental disabilities for over 30 years. Amber started her career working with students with disabilities in a program as a volunteer in High School. After graduating High School, she went on to work in group homes at Tempe Center for the Handicapped.
Amber helped with taking care of her great grandmother with Alzheimer’s, then went on to work with the elderly population in assisted living communities and nursing homes. At 25 years old, Amber opened her own Assisted Living Home called Amber’s Sweet Retreat. From there, Amber went on to work as a CNA for Hospice.
Amber feels blessed to work for Arion, to be able to work with individuals of all ages and all disabilities, assisting and supporting our members and their families, brings her such happiness and joy.
When Amber is not working, she enjoys photography, writing, outdoor activities, music, and spending time with her 17-year-old son, Tyler.
